Volkswagen’s new Jetta coming early 2011

Volkswagen will launch the next-generation Jetta sedan in the Middle East early next year.
The 2011 Jetta is based on the new Golf’s platform and features various design and technical improvements over its predecessor.
Externally, the new Jetta bears VW’s new design DNA made evident by its new twin-slat grille and headlamps. The car is longer than the older model and offers greater interior room and leg space.
The new Jetta will be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines internationally. The petrol engine choice ranges from the base 105bhp 1.2-litre TSI unit to the range topping 200bhp 2.0-litre TSI engine with four engines in between.

Volkswagen has extensively used turbo-charging and super-charging to increase power output of these relatively small displacement engines while keeping fuel consumption and emissions in check.
The 2011 Jetta will be built in Mexico and will be available at Volkswagen Middle East dealerships across the region in early 2011. Pricing will be announced prior to launch but is expected to be marginally lower than the existing Jetta.
