Supercars galore at the Dubai Motor Show
Three exclusive new supercars will be on display at this month's Dubai Motor Show. GCC distributor Ultimate Motors will bring the world's fastest production car - the Shelby Ultimate Aero TT - to the UAE event, where it will sit alongside the Danish Zenvo ST-1. Ultimate Motors will also be the GCC distributors for the British Arash AF-10 that we reported on last week. The Ultimate Aero TT, made by American company Shelby Super Cars (SSC) is an evolved version of the Ultimate Aero that was showcased at the Dubai Motor Show back in 2007. It's powered by a monster engine producing 1,287bhp and has been recorded hitting a record top speed of 414.3 kph. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kph in about 2.7 seconds and is priced at $654,000 in the US. However, its price in the Middle East is not yet confirmed. Nasser Al Hai, President of Ultimate Motors said, "Our extreme supercars have been road-tested and customised to ensure reliability and suitability for the region. The GCC has one of the highest supercars-to-population ratio and the interest of global manufacturers in launching their ultra-exclusive and limited-edition supercars in the region is a testament to the market's penchant for this type of vehicle."
The Zenvo ST-1 (right) is another hugely powerful car, with the rear wheels driven by a 7.0-litre V8 engine developing 1,104bhp. It's entirely developed in its native Denmark.
