Scaglietti offers the kind of dynamic performance (0-100 km/h sprint
in just 4.2 seconds), stability and nimble manoeuvrability generally
only found in a mid-rear engined car, and still has exceptional
amount of space for its passengers and their luggage.
As is
traditional at the Prancing Horse, the new car also benefits from the
most advanced Ferrari engine and transmission technologies as well as
highly sophisticated aerodynamic research. The 65-degree V12, which
displaces almost six litres, generates a blistering 540hp at 7250
rpm. The result is a car that is easy to handle in all kinds of
conditions and hit speeds of over 320 km/h at full throttle. A
six-speed track-derived gearbox with paddle shifts on the steering
wheel is employed.
In effect,
the Scaglietti is one of the most beautiful modern Ferraris. It has
the soul of a sporty berlinetta along with the dimensions and design
of a luxurious, surprisingly roomy Grand Tourer, all clad in a
sensuous form.
