Ferrari’s new 599 GTO to debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show

Ferrari 599XX
Ferrari is reportedly working on a new lightweight limited-edition version of the 599 GTB Fiorano.
Dubbed as the 599 GTO the new sports car from the legendary Italian manufacturer is expected to debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show in September and has already been snapped undergoing testing in Maranello, Italy.
Ferrari is likely to equip the 599 GTO with a modified version of the 599 GTB’s 6.0 litre V12 powerplant with output between 670bhp – 700bhp and mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox adapted from the 458 Italia. The overall look of the 599 GTO will be inspired by the 599XX Concept that made its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
The new Ferrari will be lighter than the standard 599 GTB thanks to liberal use of carbon fibre body panels, a stripped out cabin and lighter alloy wheels. Furthermore, a reworked suspension and improved aerodynamics are expected to make the 599 GTO even faster. More concrete details are going to trickle in as we get closer to the car’s public debut at Paris later this year.
Update: The 599 GTO will debut at the Beijing Motor Show, not the Paris Motor Show. More information here.
