Volkswagen to build XL1 diesel hybrid car

Volkswagen has announced that it will build the ultra-efficient Formula XL1 car by 2013. Powered by 800cc diesel engine mated to a 27bhp electric motor the XL1 can run about 100km on one litre of fuel.…
