Alfa Romeo prices, specs & reviews

Alfa Romeo

Before you decide to buy one of the very evocative Alfa cars, here’s a quick peek at the auto maker’s history.

A partnership between a Frenchmen and some Italian investors in 1906 evolved into as we know it today. On its journey to produce some the most evocative cars, the Italian car maker went through a series of ownership changes. During the war years, Alfa made military hardware to aid of Allied and Italian forces in the first World War.

Mussolini’s government took effective control of the marque over the war years but failed to bring in profitability. Subsequent governments failed to change the company’s fortunes as well. Alfa Romeo was sold to Fiat Group in 1986, who continues to own the brand till date.

For records, the Alfa Romeo Torpedo 20/30 was the first car to wear the Alfa badge. The year was 1920. The car was powered by a 4.2 liter inline 4 cylinder engine that produced a meager (by today’s standards) 67 horsepower, but was capable of a top knock of a 130 km/h.

Prices, specs & reviews of Alfa Romeo cars sold in the GCC countries have been tabulated below. It is possible that the prices may vary in your local markets.
