Bentley’s 2011 Continental GT
Bentley has unveiled the 2011 Continental GT days ahead of its planned public debut at the Paris Motor Show this month.
First launched in 2003, the large coupe has been a best seller internationally and in its second generation gets a reworked exterior, interior and powertrain.
While the car’s exterior holds a resemblance to the previous model the 2011 GT gains a more assertive look with LED headlights, prominent front fenders and an upright grille.
The 2011 Bentley Continental GT is powered by a 567bhp, 6.0-litre W12 engine with dual turbochargers. The engine’s power is channelled via a six-speed Quickshift transmission and Bentley claims the car can do the 0-100kph sprint in just 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of over 320kph.
Bentley will also introduce a 4.0-litre V8 version of the new GT next year. The interior is features a new sleeker dashboard with a central touchscreen interface, new seats, door pads and new equipment. Bentley claims the rear of the new GT offers more legroom than its predecessor as well.
