The exclusive distributor of Hyundai in the UAE, Juma Al Majid, has launched the all-new Accent saloon across the country with prices starting from AED41,600.

The fifth-generation Accent comes slightly wider and longer than the previous model with more interior occupant space and cargo volume, so it’s a bit more practical this time around as well as a whole lot better looking.

The design has been completely freshened up for the fifth-gen, featuring Hyundai’s latest ‘cascading’ grille and with available features such as 17-inch wheels and LED headlights.

Unfortunately the engines haven’t been updated so they remain carry-overs, meaning customers can still pick between a 1.4-litre four-cylinder worth about 100 horsepower, or a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine making about 120 horsepower. However even the top-spec model is priced at AED52,800, so the new will still be a value-added choice.

All available models come with a six-speed automatic transmission option, and six airbags for driver and passenger.

Otherwise the car’s new shell is over 30 percent stiffer than the old one, which Hyundai says improves both driving dynamics and ride comfort. Additionally the new Accent’s more slippery through the air with a lower coefficient of drag, so it’ll save some money at the pumps too.

You can check out the all-new Accent at a Juma Al Majid branch now, and mind the rivals such as the (AED48,825), Sedan (AED59,900) and (AED45,960) amongst others.
