Aging gracefully: Nismo 370Z arrives in the UAE
With 350 horsepower and 375Nm of torque, the Nismo 370Z has just been launched in the UAE and we’ve got all the details and the price for you right here…
Try to contain your excitement now people – only nine years since Nissan first launched the 370Z sportscar, the company’s sports department has decided to offer its Nismo 370Z in the UAE for the first time.
Never mind that it’s the most dated sportscar on the market – this 2018 Nismo 370Z is a naturally-aspirated, rear-wheel drive coupe and as such it occupies a rarefied spot in the marketplace as one of the few non-turbo six-cylinder cars you can buy.
So while it’s getting on quite a bit in term of age, with a 3.7-litre V6 the Nismo model produces 350 horsepower at 7,400rpm and 375Nm of torque from a heady 5,200rpm. Which means, you know, keep revving the bolts off the thing.
A seven-speed automatic with an automatic downshift throttle-blipping function drives the rear wheels, while a Nismo strut tower brace and some stiffer dampers help provide sportier handling. Besides that, the Nismo model is further differentiated by a 0.6-inch wider track than the stock car, and inside you get lots of Alcantara, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, plus a Nismo red tachometer. Special Recaro sports seats complete the look of the cabin.
With this arrival of the 2018 Nismo 370Z to our market, local Nismo freaks can now choose from not only the Z but also the Nismo Patrol and Nismo GT-R. If you want one of these finely maturing Nismo 370Zs, you’ll probably have to be quick about it, and set aside AED182,000 for the rare chance of owning a nearly decade-old sportscar. See you on the fast lane. In 2009…
