When a regular just won’t do, the company’s Special Vehicles Operations department has just the right AED750,000 for you, the new Range Rover SVAutobiography…

The new Range Rover SVAutobiography has just been revealed prior to its pubic unveiling at the 2017 next week, as the brand’s most luxurious car ever, featuring electrically closing rear doors, first-class-style reclining seats, and an exclusive new clock from Swiss high-end watchmaker Zenith placed in a steel knurled bezel in the rear passenger console. From around AED750,000 it won’t be cheap but then again it is Range Rover’s most luxurious car yet.

Offered exclusively in extended body style form — which means it measures in at 5,200mm long with a wheelbase of 3,120mm — this amount of opulence on wheels weighs in at over 2.6 tonnes. Sensibly, then, Range Rover has fitted this car with the company’s familiar 5.0-litre supercharged V8 producing 565 horsepower and 700Nm of torque. All this is good enough for an acceleration run from zero to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds, which isn’t half bad, and a top speed of 225km/h, which is also understandable considering the braking power necessary to slow something like an SVAutobiography down.

Available to order from early next year, as the company flagship the Range Rover SVAutobiography includes powered rear doors that close at the touch of a button, and a focus on rear passengers with a fridge included back there, as well as plenty of tech. Two 10-inch screens are integrated in the rear seats, providing access to a 4G connected infotainment system.

The rear seats offer 1.2m of rear legroom, with up to 40-degrees recline capability and even a hot stone massage function, heated foot rests, and 22-way seat adjustment. Besides everything that’s included, customers will also be able to spec a powered (and veneered) cargo floor that slides in and out to make loading easier.

Interior details exclusive to the model include new seat designs in optional Poltrona Frau leather, aluminium door sills with illuminated logos, and new colour and trim options. On the outside the SVAutobiography is distinguished by chrome inserts in the grille, polished front, side and rear accents, a unique rear bumper, and exclusive 22-inch wheels.
