Korean manufacturer is preparing to woo crowds at the upcoming with a new estate previewing an upcoming production C’eed, aka Cerato…

Kia has already teased us with a shooting brake once before with the stunning Sportspace concept first seen at 2015’s Geneva motor show. We won’t stand for it a second time, so this just-revealed preview of a Frankfurt-bound Kia better reach the showrooms.

In Europe at least, chances are it will since the Korean manufacturer claims this striking looking concept is supposed to preview an upcoming body style for the Kia C’eed, more familiar to us in the Middle East as the Cerato.

Emphasising its width the car features a light bar running across the entire rear end and marking off the minimalist styling, with a very restrained approach when it comes to any decorative body panel lines.

The highlight and signature of the design seems to be a silver streak that outlines the Kia’s shooting brake body style, running from the bottom of the A-pillar uninterrupted all the way to the base of the rear windshield.

The side of the car features sunken doors at the bottom to lighten the car visually and further exaggerate the already wide wheel arches. Those concept wheels, while we’re at it, look like at least 20s to our eyes too, which is probably unlikely on a production Cerato…

Designed in Kia’s European styling studio just a stone’s throw from its scheduled world premiere spot at the Frankfurt show on September 14, the latest Kia concept wouldn’t arrive in production form until 2019 since that’s when the C’eed/Cerato successor is due. Let’s hope that’s plenty of time for Kia Middle East to work out plans for a regional release.
