In his new role, Leithe will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing operations for the Chevrolet and GMC brands across UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Yemen. With consistently steady growth in the auto industry this year, the outlook for the rest of the year is bright for the automaker.

“We’ve seen 13% growth in the markets which Markus is now responsible for in the first half of the year. As we plan to build on this growth, it is essential that we have a proven leader such as Markus to drive this strategy forward. With Markus at the helm, he will bring renewed focus to our brands and operations. As interest in our products continues to expand, he will be at the forefront of our approach to ensure we are well equipped to accommodate and serve a growing number of Chevrolet and GMC owners,” said Mario Spangenberg, President and Managing Director for GM Africa and Middle East Operations.
