2015 Chery Tiggo | New Car Review
Pros
* Ample amounts of standard equipment.
* Priced extremely well.
Cons
* With only a Front Wheel Drive layout on offer, the Tiggo is merely a hatchback on stilts.
Looks
Being the only SUV in the brand’s line-up, the 2015 Chery Tiggo can’t be blamed for borrowing styling cues from any of its siblings. However, while the front end is rather sleek and is proud to flaunt angular headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights, the rear end is a shoddy copy of the second generation Toyota RAV4; I guess you could say the creative streak didn’t last all through the design process then…
Feels
Inside, it’s a neat and functional design that sees a protruding centre stack –embellished in matte silver trim- break the monotony of dark plastics found on the dashboard and door panels. For a premium of just AED 3,000, the Tiggo offers higher levels of comfort with leather wrapped seats, an automatic air conditioning system, and a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat.
Engineering
Available in just two trims, the 2015 Chery Tiggo is one of the few offerings in the market to offer substantial amounts of kit as standard equipment. Luring potential buyers to the brand, the Comfort model, or base model as many would call it in the UAE, offers power windows, cruise control, parking sensors, headlamp leveling, and fog lights, in addition to a CD player with a USB port. For the price of just AED 44,900, that’s a steal no matter which way you look at it.
What’s on offer
Powered by a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder engine which chucks out 137 horsepower at 5,750 RPM and 182 Nm of torque at 4,500 RPM, the 4,390mm long, 1,765mm wide, and 1,705mm tall SUV, delivers power to the front and is capable of reaching a top speed of 175 km/h.
Verdict
If you’re considering getting the 2015 Chery Tiggo, then you’ll be glad to know that by opting for the Tiggo over the Sportage, you’ll be saving a decent sum of money. But if space is what you’re truly after, then a visit to the Toyota showroom could prove worthwhile, for the Avanza is a seven seater people carrier that’s a worthy alternative. Keep in mind, though, the Jap doesn’t have half the amount of features found on the Tiggo.

Upto 15000 KM Performance wise vehicle was good. Now after 15000 km service ,vehicle become rough.no smooth.Service is very bad from authorized service centre (dubai uae).Quality of the material used is very very bad.
Now i am feeling ,i done a big mistake in choosing this vehicle
When I try to sale this vehicle in pre owned vehicle centre on september 2015(their own company)They offer me 22000 AED (2015 model registered in April 2015)I was shocked .
Any way I accept my mistake.
