The 2016 Range Rover Sport’s HST New York Debut

Posted on Mar 30, 2015 by

Land Rover is set to present the new HST at the New York International Auto Show , and as you’d expect, it isn’t any ordinary Range Rover Sport. Sliding into the current line-up, the HST offers 375 horsepower from its 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine and gets unique chassis settings and bespoke design features to match.

A striking black theme is the hallmark of the exterior design, with the hood, front wing vents, grille, and fog lamp bezels all featuring a Gloss Black finish. All is echoed by the Range Rover lettering on the edge of the bonnet and rear tailgate. In common with other Range Rover Sport variants, the HST wears a red Sport badge at the rear, complemented by unique HST badging on the front wing vents.

Unique chassis settings deliver sharper responses, without compromising comfort and refinement. Changes to the suspension reduce body roll and deliver enhanced agility, while the improved brakes feature 20-inch discs to deliver remarkable stopping power.

The HST is available with a single-range transmission, reflecting its capabilities, and Land Rover’s engineers have devised a unique Terrain Response set-up for the vehicle. The Range Rover Sport HST can be ordered from April, with prices being announced later this year.
