2015 Nissan Juke unveiled at Dubai Autodrome
On Thursday, 12th February 2015, Nissan launched the latest iteration of its Urban Crossover at the Dubai Autodrome. No, it wasn’t by doing hot laps and burning rubber that the Japanese crossover made its Middle East debut, but rather with a host of local DJs and urban graffiti artists putting on a show for attendees.
Retaining the quirky and oddly distinguishable styling of its predecessor, the 2015 Nissan Juke welcomes tweaked upper front lamps (now with LED daytime runners), in addition to a new set of bumpers and a revised grille.
Inside, cloth upholstery, a four-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with an AUX port and a rear-view camera, are all part of the standard kit. Revisions in the cargo area have increased space while versatility is further enhanced with flat-folding rear seats and a two-stage floor in the luggage compartment.
The 2015 Juke is powered by either a 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated engine or a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the latter benefitting from direct injection. If it’s the naturally aspirated path you opt for, 117 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and 158 Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM is what you’ll have at your disposal. Trekking the turbocharged route fetches you a more interesting 190 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 240 Nm of torque from 2,400 RPM. Although both engines get mated to a CVT transmission, the latter is available with a manual mode…
Prices start at AED 66,500 and stop at AED 85,000 for the fully loaded turbo variant. We don’t think the Kia Soul has much to be afraid of.
