Review Summary:

Perhaps one of the best looking cars on the market, the 2015 CLS is becoming a popular sight on the UAE roads.

Pros

* Owning one will definitely let the neighborhood know you're well off.

Cons

* With the top end AMG variant costing over half a million, you begin to question what else your money could get you.

Looks

There is little to criticise the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS on. Mercedes-Benz’s executive coupe-saloon, which is based on the C-Class, looks stunning from all angles. The swooping lines that join the back to the front are sleek and silky, the front is arranged neatly and the rear-end is one of the finest on the roads.

Feels

The CLS is astonishingly comfortable. Inside you are surrounded by two-tone leather, piano lacquer, wood, and all that other good stuff. There is still the dominating feeling that you are in a Mercedes, with its clinical finishing, but there is almost a Jaguar-like feeling in there, too.

Engineering

As you would expect, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS has been designed for an executive class of person. It is therefore replete with features such as a DVD changer, Bluetooth, parking camera, thermal front seats and so on. This being a Mercedes, there is also a raft of sport packages, designed to offer the optimum driving experience.

What’s on offer?

Four variations of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS are available in the UAE; the CLS 400, 500, 63 AMG, and 65 AMG. Prices are AED 318,000, AED 377,000, AED 487,000, and AED 543,000 respectively. The CLS 400 brings 333 horsepower to the table, while the top line AMG model belts out a substantial 585 horsepower and 800Nm of torque!

Summing it

The CLS range is certainly expensive, and owning one of these models will certainly let everyone know that you’re well off. But that aside, it’s a beautiful car that looks as good as it feels. It’s subtle enough to blend in, but striking enough to turn heads at the same time. A real winner.
