Review Summary:

The is a B-segment contender that has been around since 2002 and finds itself up against the American Chevrolet Sonic and Japanese Honda Jazz. Whether it is a worthy contender, however, remains to be seen…

* Zenith windscreen is a neat touch.

* Ridiculously overpriced.

While the 2015 Citroen C3 is a step above the entry level model (C-Elysee) as far as pricing and model placement are concerned, the same cannot be said for its styling. With the lack of clean lines along the bodywork and a bulbous figure to top it all off, the C3 isn’t exactly a head turner.

2015 Citroen C3 front

Unlike the majority of other vehicles in the brand’s line-up that feel and look superior in comparison to their rivals, it isn’t the case with the C3. With a generous splash of hard plastics around the passenger compartment and a rather dull design overall, the C3 is unlikely to win too many hearts over with its design alone.

Equipped with what is referred to as a Zenith windscreen, the 2015 Citroen C3 not only offers something none of its competitors do, but also allows for spectacular views of the city to be admired from its glass roof. Well done, C3!

What’s on offer?

120 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque is what the 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder engine powering the 2015 Citroen C3 puts out. Mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission, the French accelerates to the 100 km/h mark in 10.9 seconds and packs a top whack of 190 km/h.

Summing it…

Wearing a price tag of AED 72,000 the Citroen C3 is seriously overpriced in comparison to its rivals, and while that may be slightly awkward, there’s something a lot stranger. For the exact same amount of money, the brand offers the Citroen C4, a hatchback that is a lot prettier, more powerful, and isn’t a social embarrassment to drive. In short, there’s absolutely no reason you should even be considering the C3, because your money can get you a lot more.
