UAE recall for 2015 Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli
Maserati has announced safety recall for 2015 Maserati Quattroporte and Maserati Ghibli cars in the U.A.E. Though there has been a streak of recalls in 2014, this one in particular catches our attention. One would have expected stringent quality checks on the latest offerings from the Italian car maker.
The recall is due to ‘non-conformity’ with safety standards by Maserati. The culprit – fuel pipe – needs to be attended to. If left unattended, fuel odour is likely to seep into the passenger cabin. In a worst-case scenario, the fuel supply to the engine could be affected resulting in abrupt engine shutdown – a potentially dangerous situation.
No accidents have been reported as yet due to this issue. A meagre four cars are reported to be affected by this recall. Maserati dealers for Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors respectively will replace the affected parts at no cost to owners.
For any further inquiries, owners can get in touch with the Maserati Customer Care Centre on 800 4670.
