Infiniti Q80 Inspiration – the Japanese Porsche Panamera rival
Pushing out concept vehicles left, right, and centre, manufacturers aren’t willing to lose a single moment in the race to the 2014 iteration of the Paris Motor Show; Infiniti, is no exception to this.
Bringing a four-seat fastback to the show, who would’ve ever guessed that the Posche Panamera’s rival would come with an Infiniti badge on its snout? Designed to shake up the status quo, the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration is believed to offer a unique combination of a driver-centric powertrain and onboard tech.
Measuring 5,052mm in length, 1,350mm in height, and 2,027mm in width, the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration is set to impress audiences on 2nd October with its 3,103mm wheelbase and custom 22-inch five dual-spoke alloys.
Following the norms of concept vehicles, the Infiniti Q80 Inspiration doesn’t follow ordinary styling cues, so much so, that the Japanese vehicle isn’t fitted with side mirrors, to avoid breaking up the aesthetics of the profile. There’s also a full length glass roof atop the cabin, a cabin, which is put on display each time the driver or passengers’ open the portal style doors.
Earmarked for an advanced adaptive suspension, the light and rigid chassis combines with the acoustic glass all around and additional sound deadening to promise a driving and ride experience among the very best.
A design highlight to which Infiniti’s four worldwide design studios are bound to refer regularly in coming years, the Q80 Inspiration four-door fastback is to be taken as clear intent to have an entry into the newly defined premium fastback segment. Porsche, watch out.
