Cons

Looks

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an understated executive saloon which follows the conventional Mercedes style doctrine. Without being ostentatious or loud, the E-Class showcases smooth styling and luxury details. Arguably the headlamps let it down with their disproportionate size.

Feel

Inside the E-Class you will find plenty of convenient features, things that you would expect. Leather upholstery is stitched to perfection and the modest dash oozes charisma. You feel posh in this car, as you should.

Engineering

An eye for detail has scanned everything to ensure that everything has been covered. With the E-Class you get parking cameras, lane drift warning, sliding sunroof, intelligent lights, keyless entry, and so the list goes on. Nothing feels cheap here, it’s all engineered to offer excellent comfort.

What’s on offer?

There are myriad options available in the E-Class range, as you would expect from Mercedes. Firstly there are three body types: saloon, and cabriolet. Engines range from 1.8 litres to 5.4 litres. Prices range between AED 177,000 and AED 448,000.

Summing it

The E-Class doesn’t disappoint on paper, and certainly the coupe and cabriolet models are some of the prettiest on the market. There is a lot to be said about the price of the higher end models, such as the E 63 AMG, as it encroaches into S-Class territory.
