Jaguar F Type Coupe with 550 horsepower?
The Jaguar F Type is probably one of the best looking cars you can expect to see on the roads today. Introduced earlier as just a convertible, Jaguar have finally revealed the F Type Coupe. Does it look any less stunning than the convertible? Certainly not!
The F Type Coupe will be offered in 3 variants; basic, S and R. The basic version will be fitted with a 3.0 litre V6 engine that is capable of pushing out 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque; while the S variant will receive a tuned version of the same engine producing 380 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque. The cream of the crop is the mighty R version with a 5.0 litre V8 taken from the XFR-S that churns out 550 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque! Top speeds for the basic, S and R versions are 259 km/h, 275 km/h and 300 km/h respectively.
The S and R versions are optionally available with carbon ceramic matrix (CCM) brakes which are 21 kg lighter than the standard braking kit. All three F-Type coupes come with a close-ratio, eight-speed Quickshift transmission with full manual sequential control from either the central SportShift selector or the paddles mounted on the steering wheel.
