Nissan has released a teaser image of the new Qashqai that gives little away but suggests a more aggressive-looking front end

Nissan are making the most of the launch of what they say is the most significant car in the company’s modern history, starting a 10 day countdown to the  reveal of the new Qashqai.

There can be little doubt about the success of the original which has sold over 2 million units since its launch in 2007  and which kicked started the now ultra-competitive compact crossover segment.

Nissan say the new Qashqai has been reinvented from the ground up, pushing the boundaries of design and innovation – ushering in sector-first technologies and introducing fresh thinking in every area. From advanced aerodynamics to state of the art cabin infotainment systems, Nissan claims the new Qashqai represents the company at its most creative.

The carmaker says the new Qashqai builds on the qualities of the ground-breaking original that have endeared it to those 2 million drivers around the world. The teaser picture does not tell us much about the new car’s styling but there are hints of a more aggressive-looking front end sporting a narrower, deeper radiator grille.
