Nissan recall 188,000 vehicles worldwide

over 188,000 vehicles from all over the world to fix a faulty brake control software. Vehicles affected by the are the 2013 and 2014 of the Nissan Pathfinder and the JX35 / QX60.

Although Nissan have reported no crashes or injuries, during light braking on rough roads, the antilock brake software could cause longer-than-expected stopping distances leading to a potential crash. Within a period of 60 days, owners will be notified by Nissan if their car needs to be brought in and had the braking control software reprogrammed free of charge.

Majority of the cars being recalled, 152,000 to be precise are from the U.S while the remaining 36,000 are from China, Canada, Mexico and other countries. According to trusted sourced at Auto Middle East, 2,070 Nissan Pathfinder and 5,542 Infiniti QX60 owners within the GCC excluding Saudi Arabia can expect to be contacted by their dealers.
