Monstrous – in one word. Right from the GMC signature front grille to its upright stance, the 2014 GMC Sierra pickup truck easily conveys its powerful personality. Somewhat simplistic character lines, pronounced shoulders and touch of matt chrome to its skin brings refinement to its appearance – beast in a tuxedo. Its a case of evolution of familiar design for the new GMC pickup truck.
Friendly is the word. Despite its humongous size, the 2014 GMC Sierra is reasonably friendly inside. American love for cup holders is blatantly visible in the cabin. Steering mounted gear stick and clearly placed control button for are easy to access. Use of durable materials, that do not feel cheap, is a definite point scorer. Multiple USB ports, memory card reader and even a 230volt 3 pin socket is built into the dashboard. Clean and functional, in a nut shell, is what the new interiors are about. As you climb up the spec ladder, leather seats, wood and aluminium trims become available.
The all new 2014 GMC Sierra is the first pickup truck to be tested and receive a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA. Aimed at a lifestyle oriented buyer, the new GMC Sierra comes to market after a rigorous 21 million km of accumulated testing and validations.
Triple seals on its door frames reduces noise levels in the cabin. Twin tube shocks in the front and coil springs in the back are optimised for comfortable ride as well as load carrying. An updated GMC Intellink infotainment platform, similar to the ones seen in Chevy and Cadillac range is optional.
Four wheel disc brakes with longer life and shorter stopping distance than its predecessor, forward collision alert and lane departure warning system are provided to make the experience of driving the new GMC Sierra fun and safe.

Though a segment leader, there is nothing in the Sierra range to counter the hugely popular Ford Raptor pickup truck. AutoMiddleEast.com has learnt that something on the lines is being worked upon behind closed doors, which should help strengthen the dominant position of GMC Sierra in the pickup truck segment.
