European debut of the Jaguar XFR-S | 2013 Geneva Motor Show

XFR-S made its European debut at this year’s . The British automaker claims this car to the fastest and most powerful saloon in ’s history. A 5.0-litre supercharged engine that is capable of generating 550PS of power propels the XFR-S.

The car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and will go to a maximum speed of 300km/h. Price tag in UK – £79,995.



Prior to Jaguar’s entry at the 2013 Auto Salon, various models including the classic Jaguar XK 120, C-type, D-type and E-type sports cars joined the 495 PS F-TYPE in a “Jaguar Bloodline” sports car envoy en route to Geneva, Switzerland.

The F-TYPE V8S was also driven 519-miles by a specialist in transit from Jabbeke to Geneva to record a low average fuel consumption of 35.6mpg (7.9l/100km).

Jaguar fans can look forward to seeing the new Jaguar F-TYPE on screen soon. A movie by the name of “Desire” has been produced to celebrate the arrival of Jaguar’s first new sports car in more than 50 years.



Jaguar also returned to the famous roads of Jabbeke in Belgium where in 1953 it set an average speed world record of 172.4mph with the Jaguar XK 120. This time the onus was on the Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S. It was none other than Andy Wallace as the driver who achieved the 0 to 100km/hr pick-up speed in 4.2 seconds.
