The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, touted as the world’s fastest four seat convertible, will make its international debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show. Officially known as the North American International Auto Show, the automotive spectacle is held in Detroit each year and is among the largest auto shows in North America.
The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible comes with a shattering performance of a 625 PS (616 bhp) twin-turbo 6.0 litre W12 engine mated to an eight speed gearbox. Peak torque – an impressive 800 Nm (590 lb.ft) – is reached at just 2000 revs/min and maintains that level through to 5000 revs/min.
The new GT Speed Convertible has a top speed of 325 km/h. Propulsion from 0 – 100 km/h takes 4.4 seconds. Permanent all-wheel drive ensures necessary traction and power delivery at all times.
Subtle sporting design cues include exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, dark-tint grilles and ‘rifled’ exhaust tail pipes. Inside its handcrafted cabin, the GT Speed convertible features the Mulliner driving specification as standard.
