has announced the launch of the 2013 which gets enhancements throughout the vehicle for increased performance, improved ride and handling, and greater customization. The 2013 is most likely to be available in the Middle East from January 2013.

2013 Nissan GT-R

The 2013 GT-R ‘supercar’ has received evolutionary design and engineering enhancements based on feedback from competing in the 24-Hours of Nurburgring race earlier this year. Notable modifications include improved engine response in the mid- and upper-rpm rev range, increased body rigidity.

Rather than milking more power out of the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, Nissan has fine-tuned the engine with new injectors for quicker response. A baffle is added in the oil pan to maintain constant oil pressure during harsh driving and the turbo bypass has been improved for better acceleration at higher speeds.

Nissan also optimized the car’s handling potential by giving it a lower centre of gravity, new shocks and stabilizers, and reinforcements in the dash giving the car a more rigid structure.

As a result, the vehicle’s overall performance is dramatically increased, high-speed stability improved and ride quality is more refined. The car now laps the Nurburgring in 7 min 18.6 seconds faster than last year’s model which took 7 min 21 seconds.
