Known simply as the Eight, this concept features a Maserati-sourced high revving V8 engine producing a healthy 360 hp sent straight to the rear wheels. Reportedly, the machine was designed and developed from scratch in just eight weeks!

The car showcases some of the latest technology available to automakers, including a driver-facing tablet computer that occupies the spot normally housing the dash. It incorporates a variety of new technologies provided by the students’ sponsors. These include a built-in tablet that provides navigational directions, internet access, text-to-speech technology for listing books,Liveradio & Deezer for tunes and Cinéday for movies to keep the driver connected while on the go.

The car is a real looker due to its low slung chassis, exposed wheels, suspension & steering components and that unmistakable hot rod design. The whole package is painted in a nice matte-finish which really seals the deal for us. Hats off to the auto design students who made the Eight. We have to agree, its one heck of a brilliant car.
