With refreshed models expected in coming months, Ford Middle East expects the sales momentum to continue for 2013

Sales in Oman more than doubled while Qatar new car sales clocked 56 percent growth. Sales in other GCC markets performed reasonably well with 38 percent growth in United Arab Emirates. Both, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain registered 10 percent while new car sales in Kuwait moved at a constant pace.

Ford Fusion, Taurus, Edge, Expedition and Flex drove the sales higher in GCC markets.

We are very pleased with the growing demand that our models are seeing across our dealerships in the region,” said Larry Prein, Ford Middle East’s managing director. “The momentum continues at an encouraging level and we are confident that this will continue as we introduce our 2013 models such as the newly refreshed Taurus, Edge, Explorer and Flex, with the start of Ramadan.”
