2012 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class | new car review

CL-Class maps the German car maker’s flagship sedan – the Mercedes Benz S-Class, with exceptions of shorter wheelbase and sportier interiors.

The Mercedes Benz CL-Class currently on sale is essentially the same car that was launched in 2006.  A mid-life facelift in 2010 saw tweaks to the front end and cosmetic changes to overall styling. The Mercedes Benz CL-Class offers plenty of space in the rear. You will enjoy reasonably good head clearance and legroom in its luxurious seats. Getting in and out of the backseats of this car is convenient thanks to what Mercedes Benz dubs as EASY ENTRY system.

There are five variants of the 2012 Mercedes Benz CL-Class on sale with a number of options on engines and transmission. The CL 500 BlueEFFICIENCY gets a 4.7-litre V8 engine paired with a 7G-TRONIC transmission while the CL 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY gets a 7G-TRONIC with all-wheel-drive. The CL 600 gets a 5.5-litre V12 paired with a 5-speed automatic with tiptronic shifters.

The CL 63 AMG gets a 5.5-litre V8 paired with a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission and the flagship CL 65 AMG gets a 6-litre V12 paired with a 5-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission.
