The Accord Crosstour is a unique and distinctive car that combines a premium sedan with an SUV to create an entirely new concept within the crossover segment. Building on the benefits of a car-based platform, the Accord Crosstour starts with the power and the refinement of the Accord V6 Sedan and further expands utility with a sleek-yet-functional profile for increased cargo space.

The Accord Crosstour is designed to fulfill multiple roles. It has a bold exterior that distinguishes it from the Accord sedan and coupe and it gets a premium interior. It has an increased functionality compared to the sedan that is provided by an under-floor storage area in the rear of the vehicle and reversible cargo floor panels ideal for wet and dirty objects. Cargo area access is further enhanced by a tailgate with a large opening and a low lift-over height.

The same 3.5-litre V6 engine found in the Accord Coupe and sedan powers the Accord Crosstour. It produces a maximum of 271bhp at 6,200rpm and 339Nm of maximum torque at 5,000rpm. It also gets a five-speed automatic transmission with real-time 4WD.

In terms of features, the Accord Crosstour gets tilt and telescopic steering column, dual zone air-conditioner, Bluetooth connectivity, optional navigation system, reversing camera, power assisted front seats and leather upholstery.

The Accord Crosstour boasts of all the safety features found in the Accord Coupe that includes ABS, traction control, six airbags, parking sensors and keyless entry with immobiliser.

The new 2012 Accord Crosstour is part UV with some pleasing sedanish comfort, and it is definitely not as rough and tumble as most of the wagons and SUVs these days.
