American utility vehicle manufacturer is offering a total of three new special editions for the European markets this year. The hope is that the desirable collection will be extended to markets outside Europe.

Jeep Grand Cherokee S Limited

The Grand Cherokee S Limited is not an all-new car as auto aficionados will recall the concept previewing this special edition from the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Jeep were convinced to introduced this model after receiving a positive consumer response.

The first of the three limited editions sports a mesh grille, tinted headlamps and platinum chrome accents up front. At the back, a black chrome dual exhaust system features and the car sits on 20-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin of the Cherokee S Limited is upholstered with Nappa leather/suede seats, “racing style” pedals and carbon fiber trim. Other facets include a panoramic sunroof, an 825-watt Harman Kardon audio system and a UConnect infotainment system.

A 3-liter V6 CRD engine lurks beneath the bonnet in two states of tune – A version that puts out 187bhp and 440Nm of torque and another that produces 238bhp and 550Nm of torque. The model will be introduced in Europe in September as the Cherokee S Limited.

Jeep Wrangler Mountain

Moving to the second model, the Jeep Wrangler Mountain arrives this month in two- and four-door body forms. Distinguishing it are cosmetic changes such as the Mineral Gray grille, a black decal on its hood and 17-inch alloys. Other interesting inclusions are the Mopar side steps and a black fuel-filler door.

The interiors have not changed considerably and embroidered seats, grab handles made using rubber and heavy-duty slush floor mats are the notable changes.

Like the S Limited, the Wrangler Mountain is available in two specs. The top-end model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine producing 280bhp.

Jeep Compass Black

The third and final model is the Compass Black which is another exhibit from Geneva that got the nod. The Compass Black hits the European markets in August wearing gloss black accents, tinted headlights and 18-inch aluminum alloys.

A Boston Acoustics audio system and a UConnect infotainment system are the only additions to its interior. The Compass Black derives power from a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine producing 161bhp and 320Nm of torque.
