Porsche releases Middle East sales figures, claims record numbers

Porsche has announced their sales for the and looks like they too (along with Audi) have hit record figures in 2011.

Porsche announced a 16 per cent sales increase on its previous record year of 2010. Close to 8,000 (7,949) vehicles were sold in the region in 2011. The highlight of 2011 was August – which was Porsche Middle East‘s best ever sales month; with 924 vehicles being delivered to customers.

Porsche also claims a delivery record in 2011: 118,867 vehicles were sold worldwide; a 22.2 per cent increase compared with the year before.

The company claims that the new 911’s order book is bulging with more than 600 pre-orders for this region.

The Cayenne enjoyed a 35 per cent sales increase over 2010 figures, while the Boxster and the Cayman saw an increase of 29 per cent.

The company however has not released the figures for the Panamera but claims a double digit growth.
