Mopar presents the Dodge Charger Redline | 2012 Detroit Motor Show

Mopar, the official arm of Chrysler Group LLC for performance parts and accessories for their vehicles has introduced the 2012 Charger Redline. This 426 V-8 HEMI-powered car gives us a detailed view of the new Mopar performance kits that will arrive later this year. Mopar displayed the Charger Redline with all (three) of their performance stage kits at the 2012 .

Stage I: aerodynamic carbon fibre exterior components and interior accents

Stage I modifications includes a full-width carbon fibre chin spoiler, a body coloured two-piece grille featuring a black signature “crosshair” insert. Black, 20-inch wheels featuring with polished accents. Carbon fibre door scoops, R/T badging, a three-piece carbon fibre rear spoiler and vinyl roof graphic in matte black. On the inside it features an aluminium shift bezel and aluminium instrument panel bezel and stainless steel pedals with rubber accents

Stage II: bolt-on performance parts for improved power, handling and braking

This stage comes standard with a performance upgrade from the factory which enhances handling, performance and braking. It also comes with a cat-back performance exhaust system, a front-tower cross-brace and front tower brace caps and track tested brakes.

Stage III: Gen III 426 HEMI V-8 engine, with 590 horsepower

This stage delivers 220 more horses than the 2012 Dodge Charger R/T and features a Gen III 426 HEMI V-8 crate engine which is around 40 kilograms lighter and is meant for track use only. The valvetrain also features more aggressive roller camshaft with .639 intake and .628 exhaust lift and cylinder heads that.
