2013 Dart

Dodge has announced a new entrant into the American compact sedan market – the Dart, at the 2012 . Benefiting from its access to the FIAT/Alfa range of cars, it is no surprise that the Dodge Dart is based on the Giulietta and we are not complaining.  The styling, needless to say, very Italian and so is the whole appeal of the car. The Dart is a blend of all good things from FIAT/Alfa and Dodge.

The Dodge Dart will come with three engine options, an inline-four Tigershark 2-liter which produces 160hp 200Nm of torque, an inline-four Tigershark 2-liter that pushes out 184 horses and a peak torque of 231Nm. Both these engines are naturally aspirates. The Dart also features a MultiAir inline-four 1.4-liter turbocharged engine which produces 160 horses and 250Nm of torque. Dodge is offering three transmission options on the Dart – six-speed manual, six-speed automatic and a six-speed dual clutch which will be standard with the MiltiAir engine.

For those who like to customise their cars, the Dodge Dart will be available with 14 interior combinations and trim levels. Dodge claims best-in-class interior space and says the rear legroom is more than a Hyundai Sonata. A seven-inch TFT display replaces the analogue gauges and the dashboard has a 8.4-inch touch screen panel which can be customised by the driver.
