‘Track Pack’ for the mighty GT-R
Nissan GT-R’s 2012 range now includes new track-focused edition which is fully road legal and available to order now. The ‘Track Pack’ edition as Nissan calls it gains visual distinction on the exteriors with the help of lightweight 6-spoke RAYS alloys with gloss black painted centres. The brakes are cooled by additional cooling ducts built into the front bumper, reducing operating temperature of the front brake discs by as much as 100 degrees during track use, giving a more consistent stopping performance. Rear discs receive a similar treatment.
The suspension has been tuned for improving track times but the dampers are adjustable to offer more comfort for road use. The 542bhp motor is retained in the same specification as the run-of-the-mill 2012 model GT-R which means doing 0 to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds is ‘Easy like Sunday morning’, atleast that’s how Lionel Richie would describe it. The Track Pack adds another AED 57,000 to the AED 425,100 list price of the standard GT-R, making it AED 482,200. Do note these are the UK prices. The first deliveries are expected in March 2012.
