VW take the Passat off-road | Passat Alltrack

2012 VW Passat AlltrackFirst visuals of the spanking new Passat Alltrack have made it online. The Alltrack will make its global debut at the next week, ahead of its market introduction early 2012. Besides capitalizing on the practicality of the Passat Estate, the Alltrack also adds 4MOTION, VW’s 4WD system, a raised ride height and aesthetic improvs to match its off-road prowess. Stainless steel-look bash plates, flared side sills, matt chrome roof rails, window surrounds, grille and exterior mirror casings are a few of those changes. 2012 VW Passat AlltrackGround clearance is now 30mm higher at 165 mm improving ramp breakaway angles from 9.5 to 12.8 degrees and the re-styled front and rear bumpers increase the approach angle from 13.5 to 16 degrees, and the departure angle from 11.9 to 13.6 degrees. In the UK, the Passat Alltrack will be available as a 138bhp 2.0-litre TDI with 6-speed manual gearbox or a 2.0-litre TDI 168bhp with 6-speed DSG transmission.  Standard equipment will include Alcantara upholstery, Dual Zone climate control, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, iPod connectivity, Bluetooth and 18” alloys. 2012 VW Passat Alltrack
