2011 in ‘Seychelles Blue’ & ‘Flouro Orange’

will race two Cygnets, their hand-crafted luxo-minis at the fifth annual Eco-Rally this weekend. This is the marque’s maiden appearance in the rally which showcases the planet’s most eco-friendly vehicles in collaboration with ‘Start’, an initiative inspired by The Prince of Wales.

One Cygnet will sport a shade of ‘Seychelles Blue’ matching the paint of the Aston Martin DB6 Mark II Volante driven by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day. A third Cygnet will support the event in a dazzling ‘Flouro Orange’, the hallmark of London-based designer Tom Dixon.

2011 Aston Martin CygnetAM racer Darren Turner and David King, Aston’s Director of Special Projects and Motorsport will drive the two baby Astons.

The Cygnet’s claimed carbon emissions are as low as 116 g/km and fuel economy is as high as 4.16 l/100km.

The rally begins on Broad Street, Oxford at 10:00 and concludes at 14:30 on the 31st July.
