2011 Volkswagen Jetta | new car review
Posted on May 19, 2011 by Pankaj Dev
Jetta has been redesigned for 2011 and Volkswagen has done a good job at that. Few small cars in the small car segment have such upscale design and features as this all new car from VW.
At a price tag of AED 69400, the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is a compelling option for buyers looking at an entry level sedan car. For the money, you get a car with a 2.0 litre engine that produces 115 bhp mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission, topped up with German engineering, superb build quality and nice styling.
ABS with traction control and 6 airbags comes as standard on all variants, speaking of which, there are three at the time of launch – Trendline, Comfortline and Comfortline Plus.
Although the Trendline is entry level car in the Jetta lineup, it comes with remote controlled central locking, a multi functional display with CD player and 8 speaker sound system, climatic air conditioner and automatic hazard lights on hard braking. The car rides on 16-inch steel wheels.
Comfortline will take you upscale with chrome accents, 16-inch alloys, dual zone air-con, multi functional steering, an anti theft alarm system and parking sensors at the front and back of the car.
Top of the line variant, the Comfortline Plus comes with 17-inch alloys, keyless lock and engine start system, electronically adjustable sports seats with partial leather covering in the front and a touch screen audio system.
The VW Jetta competes with the likes of Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sunny and Kia Cerato.
