Honda unveils new small car named Brio

has unveiled a new compact called Brio.

The Brio will become Honda’s entry level model in many markets around the world when it is launched next year.

The Brio Prototype, which was showcased at the ongoing Thailand Motor Show, is based on the Honda small car concept which was showcased at the 2010 Delhi Motor Show. The five door hatchback measures just 3.6 metres in length and weighs in less than 1,000kg.

The Brio will be manufactured in multiple countries including Thailand and India. At the time of its international debut in March 2011 it will be powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. No news yet on whether it will come to the Middle East.
