Aston Martin has unveiled the 2011 Vantage GT4 race car.

The V8-powered Vantage GT4, which first made its racing debut in 2009, is based on the road legal V12 Vantage.

For the 2011 model year the company has made revisions to the car to improve its aerodynamics and also expanded the equipment list which now includes racing-tuned ABS and a new traction control system developed by Bosch. Aston Martin has also modified the GT4’s 4.7-litre V8 motor to produce more power and torque.

The Vantage GT4 has several accolades under its wings including wins at Nürburgring 24 Hours and Spa 24 hours just to name a few. With the revised 2011 GT4 Aston Martin is hoping to tuck in some more wins under its belt during the 2011 racing season. Since its debut more than 80 Vantage GT4s have been sold to enthusiasts worldwide.
