will launch the facelifted 2011 Captiva at next month’s Abu Dhabi Motor Show.

The compact SUV has been upgraded with a choice of new engines, refreshed exterior and interior.

The 2011 Captiva is powered by a choice of two new and more powerful engines including a 169bhp 2.4-liter base engine with variable valve timing (VVT) and a 264bhp 3.0-liter V6 motor with direct injection technology.

Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission as against the five-speed automatic gearbox found in the previous model. Externally the 2011 Captiva’s fascia has been completely modified with a new grille, headlamps, bumper and bonnet.

The rest of the car is nearly the same as the previous model save for some tweaks to the rear bumper and tail lamps. The Captiva’s interior too has been spruced up and come with new equipment including an electric parking brake.
