Nissan’s global due to a faulty ignition relay has affected 35,950 cars in the GCC.

The affected models include the Nissan Tiida, Armada, Pathfinder and the Infiniti QX56. Only those models which were built between August 2003 and July 2006 are affected.

The fault is due to an irregular electrical conduction within the engine which can cause the vehicle to stall or not start. Nissan states that this issue will be fixed in half an hour and free of charge.

In the UAE alone almost 15,000 cars are being recalled; 4,576 in Abu Dhabi and 9,844 in Dubai. Those owning affected cars should contact their local Nissan dealer or call Nissan Middle East’s customer care at 600 546666.
