Lamborghini’s much teased supercar concept called Sesto Elemento has now been officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.

Just a day after a leaked image spoiled Lamborghini’s party the Sesto Elemento took to the stands at Lamborghini’s stall at the Paris show.

In terms of size the Sesto Elemento is closer to the Gallardo than the Murcielago which it was expected to replace.

Sesto Elemento means sixth element in Italian, a reference to its extensive use of carbon fibre (carbon having an atomic number of six. It’s an apt name for this concept which makes maximum use of the substance to keep its weight down to just 999kg.

The car uses the Gallardo’s 570bhp V10 engine and boasts of a 0-100kph time of 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 350kph.

Lamborghini claims that the concept is just a design exercise at the moment but will influence future production models.
