BMW 6 Series Coupe concept coming to Paris

Posted on September 19, 2010 by Udit Bhandari

has unveiled the new 6 Series Coupe concept ahead of the car’s debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Slated to be the next-generation 6 Series, the concept is based on the new 5 Series and is said to be in near production form.

The GT’s exterior takes inspiration from the four-door Gran Coupe concept which was revealed at this year’s Beijing Motor Show.

Key exterior styling elements include the long muscular bonnet, upright grille, full LED headlamps and the contoured coupe style rear. The concept also features new interior styling, especially the waterfall style dashboard that seamlessly connects to the transmission tunnel.

The 6 Series Coupe should hit showrooms by early 2011 and BMW will also launch a soft-top convertible later in 2011. A M6 version is also expected by late 2012.
