Chevrolet’s Captiva gets a facelift for 2011
Chevrolet will unveil a facelifted Captiva at this month’s Paris Motor Show.
The 2011 model features a new fascia which follows Chevrolet’s current design language. Cosmetic enhancements include a new front bumper, larger grille, redesigned engine hood and new headlights.
The Captiva’s interior has also been spruced up and now features a ‘dual-cockpit’ dashboard, ice-blue ambient lighting and a new centre console.
The 2011 Captiva will be powered by a 171bhp 2.4 litre petrol engine, which would most likely replace the 141bhp 2.4-litre unit of the current model. There will also be a new 258bhp 3.0-litre V6 unit for higher spec versions. Both engines will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new Captiva will launch in Europe by spring 2011 and should come to the Middle East in the second half of 2011.
