Chevrolet’s next generation Aveo unveiled

Chevrolet has unveiled the all-new Aveo ahead of the car’s official debut at this month’s Paris Motor Show.

In a complete departure from the current Aveo’s styling the new Aveo follows Chevrolet’s new design language previously seen on the new Spark and Cruze.

The car borrows many styling cues from the smaller Spark including the rear profile and concealed rear door handles.

The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo has been currently revealed in hatchback form but a sedan version will also be launched next year. The new Aveo is longer and wider than the current model and will thus offer greater interior room.

While final specifications are not available yet, the new Aveo will feature at least two petrol engine options including a 1.2-litre four-cylinder unit and an 115bhp 1.6-litre motor.

More details are expected to trickle in as we get closer to the Paris Motor Show.
