Kia Soul is top dog

A Soul

The 2010 has been voted “Top Vehicle Pick for Dog Owners” by AAA, North America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organization.

As well as typical features such as roominess and the ease with which animals can get in and out, the Soul won out over its rivals for its large side windows giving extra canine visibility, a choice of options including pet-resistant seat covers, and it’s easy-to-clean interior.

A small dog

While the Soul is obviously not designed to transport Dobermans or St. Bernards, it was very popular with trendy small and midsize breed owners, many of whom also took into account fuel economy and handling. They also wanted their pet pooches to be secure in the case of an accident so tie-down hooks and the Kia’s 5-star crash safety rating also played a part in the vote.

However, one area that wasn’t mentioned in the voting was how the Soul scored in the ‘head out of the window with tongue and ears flapping in the wind’ rating. Surely the most important factor for any petrolhead dog.
