If you own a 2009-2010 Traverse or Acadia then you are being advised by to get an issue with the second row seatbelts sorted out.

Following three cases reported concerning both models in the US, GM says there are actually only 35 vehicles to which this specific problem immediately applies in the UAE, but the Detroit carmaker are requesting that all owners take their Acadia or Traverse vehicles to their local service centre for a check up to prevent any possible future issues with the seatbelts occurring.

A GM spokesperson said, “A customer may not have the condition today, but this damage could occur any time the second row seat is folded down during the life of the vehicle. We want to be sure all customers come to their dealer for the inspection and repair, so that all searbelts in the vehicle operate properly”.
