2010 207

How do you follow a global smash hit like the 206? Well, if you’re Peugeot, you replace the six with the seven, upgrade everything and sent it out on the world to continued success.

The 207 was released in 2006 and the range starts with the entry level Urban model. Powered by a 90bhp, 1.4-litre engine, it features a four-speed automatic gearbox and 15-inch steel wheels, as well as front electric front windows, CD player and dual front airbags. ABS and keyless entry is also included.

The Trendy model features a more powerful 1.6-litre engine and comes with a sportier design of nose on the car. Features include a CD/MP3 player with an auxiliary socket for external MP3 players, as well as a cooled glove box and electric wing mirrors.

Next in line is the Premium, which uses the same 1.6-litre engine and sports 16-inch alloys, dual zone air conditioning and automatic headlights, together with front fog lights.

The 207 GT comes with a panoramic sunroof and rear electric windows, as well as front, side and curtain airbags and rear parking sensors.

For a  sporty drive, try the 207 RC hot hatch, which has a 175bhp turbocharged 1.6-litre engine attached to a five-speed manual gearbox. The RC is available with GPS satellite navigation.

The 207 is also produced as a coupe-cabriolet with a folding hardtop. It’s available in two trim levels; Sport 1 and Sport 2, with either fabric or leather upholstery and manual or automatic transmissions. Power comes from the 120bhp 1.6-litre unit found in the hatchback.
